Discontinued Scent Finder: We Track Down the Fragrance You Can't Find Anymore
Your favourite fragrance was discontinued. The bottle is almost gone, the listings you find are expired or priced like antiques, and every "similar scent" suggestion misses the point.
The Discontinued Scent Finder is a research service, done by a person, for one specific fragrance: yours.
What you get
A written report, delivered by email, covering:
- Where it still exists. Current sources for remaining original stock, vintage bottles, and decants of your fragrance, with links and the prices we found on the day of your report. If it is genuinely gone everywhere, your report says so plainly instead of padding the page.
- The 3 closest alternatives you can buy today. Fragrances in current production that come nearest to yours, matched on their notes and how they wear, each with an honest note on where it differs. No affiliate padding: if the closest match is a cheap one, that is the one we name.
- One recreation partner referral. If you want the scent itself remade, we refer you to one vetted lab or perfumer that recreates discontinued fragrances, with their actual price, minimums, and timeline stated before you contact them, so there are no surprises.
What this is not
We do not make perfume, and we do not clone anything. Nobody can exactly recreate a discontinued fragrance, and anyone who promises you an identical copy is overselling. What we do is find: the real thing where it survives, the nearest living relatives, and the one door worth knocking on if you want it remade.
How it works
- Order, then answer the short intake questions we email you (the fragrance name, the version you remember, anything you have already tried).
- We research your fragrance across vintage stockists, decant sellers, and current catalogues.
- Your report lands in your inbox within 3 business days of your completed intake.
One report covers one fragrance. If your scent turns out to be back in production and easy to buy, we tell you where in the report and you have paid for certainty, not a scavenger hunt.
We find and match. We do not clone. A discontinued fragrance's exact formula belongs to its maker, and no research service and no lab can hand you back the identical scent. What we can do is find the original where it still survives, match you to the closest living alternatives, and point you at the one recreation partner worth your money. That is the whole offer, stated plainly.
